BrauBeviale 2023 looks back on a successful restart after a four-year break. Around 85 per cent of trade fair visitors are involved in the industry's investment decisions.

After the end of the trade fair for the brewing and beverage industry in Nuremberg (28 to 30 November 2023), the first results are now in: With 31,019 visitors over the three days of the show, the high demand for personal interaction and networking between visitors and exhibitors is still clearly evident. A total of 953 exhibitors presented their solutions on a net floor space of around 39,800 m², supplemented by special areas focusing among others on the wine industry, logistics, recruiting young talent, product design and "Innovation: Made in Germany" occupying a further approximately 3,200 m². Meeting place for the European beverage industry
However, visitor or exhibitor numbers alone do not tell the whole story. A closer look at the details shows that those coming from Europe account for 34 per cent of the total number of visitors. After Germany, the top 10 visitor countries at BrauBeviale were the Czech Republic, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium, the United Kingdom, France and Spain. "The trade fair programme is clearly focused on Europe - BrauBeviale's core catchment area. There is still a lot of potential here," emphasises Andrea Kalrait, Executive Director of BrauBeviale. "The figures for visitors from European countries in particular encourage us to continue to focus our programme specifically on requirements from here in Europe." This focus is also reflected in the supporting programme, for example, as the European perspective on industry developments is reflected in many programme items. "We will continue along this path," emphasises Kalrait.
Goal achieved
Always keeping up to date - that's how one could summarise the aims of visitors to BrauBeviale. It’s all about 'information related to innovation' as well as 'further training and expanding knowledge'. However, the communicative aspect of BrauBeviale was particularly appreciated by many visitors: a high proportion of them cite 'maintaining business contacts' and 'exchanging experience and knowledge' as their motivation for attending the event. And that is exactly what BrauBevial delivers: with target achievement rates of between 86 per cent and 88 per cent, visitors confirm that the trade fair fulfilled their expectations to a high degree. Exhibitors were also satisfied: the dialogue with visitors and their professional background were clear advantages of participation in this trade fair. In figures: 85 per cent of trade visitors are involved in investment decisions in breweries and beverage companies.
